Does it need to be inflated?
Never. There is no pump, no air, and no waiting. The Sealander® Lounger is filled with signature Big Joe® bean technology, so it is ready the moment you are, every time.
How does it float without air?
It is filled with lightweight, buoyant Big Joe® beans rather than air. The beans keep you supported on the water and give the chair its soft, sink-in comfort on land.
It looks a little underfilled. Will it still support me?
Yes. While it may look underfilled, the Sealander® Lounger is filled with the right amount of patented buoyant Big Joe® beans to support real lounging, in and out of the water. Inner cavities keep the beans evenly distributed for balanced support.
Can I use it in a lake, river, or the ocean?
The Sealander® Lounger is designed for pool use only. It is not suitable for lakes, rivers, oceans, or other open or moving water.
What is the difference between Premier Mesh and Sunbrella® Fabric?
Premier Mesh is a soft, breathable yarn-dyed knit polyester with a flexible feel made for lounging, and fade-resistant fibers rated for 500 hours of UV exposure. Sunbrella® Fabric is a durable woven acrylic with UV-treated fibers, a tighter weave for structured support, and a 5-year fade protection guarantee that stands up to sun, rain, and mildew. Choose Premier Mesh for a softer, breezier feel or Sunbrella® for maximum fade protection and structure.
Will the fabric fade in the sun?
Both fabrics are built to hold their color. Premier Mesh uses fade-resistant yarn-dyed fibers rated for 500 hours of UV exposure. Sunbrella® Fabric is UV-treated and backed by a 5-year limited fabric warranty against loss of color, strength, abrasion, and pilling. For added protection, our weather-protective Sealander® cover, sold separately, shields the fabric from sun and the elements when the lounger is stored or not in use. For long-term storage, keep the Sealander® Lounger out of direct sunlight.
Can I leave it outside on the patio?
Yes. The Sealander® Lounger is built with patio-grade construction made to live outdoors. For the longest life, store it out of direct sun when it is not in use. For extended outdoor storage, especially in high-UV environments, our weather-protective Sealander® cover, sold separately, helps shield it from sun, rain, and the elements.
How do I clean it?
To clean, unzip and remove the cover. Machine wash on gentle cycle with mild detergent and avoid bleach or fabric softeners. Let your Sealander™ cover air dry fully before putting it back on
How should I dry and store it?
After use, let the Sealander® Lounger drain and dry completely, then store it in a dry spot out of direct sunlight. Drying fully before storage helps prolong its life and keeps the fabric looking its best. For added protection between uses or through the off-season, our weather-protective Sealander® cover, sold separately, keeps sun, rain, and dust off the lounger.
How does the ottoman attach?
The detachable ottoman secures to the chair with an included, marine grade clip. Keep it attached for a full chaise, or detach it to use the pieces separately.
How do I move it from the pool to the patio?
Vegan leather straps and handles make it easy to lift and carry the Sealander® Lounger between the water and the patio. At about 12 lbs, it is light enough to reposition on your own.
