Your Solvana™ sectional is built for outdoor lounging but, like any upholstered seating, it will look better and last longer with simple, steady care. The good rule is easy to remember: keep it clean, let it dry, and protect it when the forecast gets dramatic. 

For everyday use

• Brush or vacuum away leaves, dust, pollen, sand, and other debris regularly. 
  
• Blot spills right away with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth. 
  
• Do not rub spills into the cover. 
  
• Allow wet pieces to dry fully before covering or storing. 
  
• If possible, lift rather than drag pieces when moving them to help protect seams and the bottom drainage mesh. 
  

Routine cleaning for all Solvana pieces
1. Remove loose debris with a vacuum, soft brush, or dry cloth.
2. Mix a mild soap solution using 1 tablespoon of mild dish soap and 2 cups of warm water.
3. Clean the surface gently with a soft cloth, sponge, or soft-bristle brush.
4. Rinse away residue with clean water.
5. Let the piece air-dry completely before using, covering, or storage. 


Performance Linen cover care 

• For everyday messes, use the routine cleaning method above. 
  
• For dried spots, loosen debris gently with a soft brush before cleaning. 
  
• For stubborn stains, use an outdoor upholstery cleaner that is approved for the fabric and test first on a hidden area. 
  
• Performance Linen covers may be removed and washed in cold water on a gentle cycle, then air-dried only.  
  
• For mold or mildew, use a diluted bleach-and-soap solution, rinse thoroughly, and air-dry completely.  
  
• While all stains may not be completely removed, these guidelines are suggested for best results. 
  
  Method A
  Use a water-based soap solution of 1 tablespoon laundry detergent per 2 cups warm water. Dampen the cleaning cloth and gently blot away the spill. Do not rub. Rotate the cleaning cloth often and rinse with water to ensure complete removal of all soap residue.
  
• Method B
  Use a mild solvent-based residential upholstery cleaner and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  
• Method C
  Mix 1/2 cup bleach, 2 TBS mild soap in a gallon of warm water. Dampen cleaning cloth with solution and blot away stain. Rinse thoroughly. Blot dry or allow to air dry.
• Additional precautions for cleaning: 
  
  - Do not use harsh solvents. 
  
  - Avoid hard-bristle brushes. 
  
  - Avoid excessive heat or machine tumble drying. 
  
  - Avoid pressure washing. 
  
  - Test cleaners in an inconspicuous area first. 
  

Silicone Leather cover care 

• Spot clean only. 
  
• Wipe with a soft cloth or sponge using mild soap and water. 
  
• Rinse lightly with clean water if needed, then wipe dry immediately with a clean cloth. 
  
• Do not machine wash. 
  
• Do not use bleach, solvent cleaners, abrasive pads, magic-eraser style abrasives, leather conditioners, or strong household chemicals. 
  

Inner water-resistant liner care 

• If the outer cover is removed and the inner liner is exposed, wipe the liner clean with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed. 
  
• Allow the liner to dry fully before reinstalling the outer cover. 
  
• Do not store the product while the liner is damp. 
  
• Do not remove the liner from the structure for care and maintenance. 
  

After rain or heavy moisture 

• Wipe or shake off excess surface water. 
  
• Let the piece air dry fully before covering or storing. 
  
• If moisture has worked past the outer cover, increase airflow by separating modules slightly and, if needed, removing or partially opening the outer cover to help the liner and foam dry completely. 
  
• Never trap moisture under a cover or in storage. 
  

Storage and weather protection

• The Solvana™ sectional is designed for everyday outdoor use in normal sun and rain. 
  
• For best lifespan, use a breathable fitted furniture cover during long stretches of non-use or repeated wet weather. 
  
• Clean and dry the product before covering. 
  
• During winter, snow, ice, freezing conditions, or extended non-use, store your Solvana™ sectional in a dry, covered space such as a storage shed or garage. 
  
• Ensure your Solvana™ sectional is completely dry for a minimum of 48 hours before storage. Dry times may vary due to the environment. 
  
• Do not leave the Solvana™ sectional outside in snow, ice, or standing water. 
  
• Recommended storage conditions: −20°F to 120°F (−29°C to 49°C) temperature, dry conditions, away from direct sunlight and any chemical solvents. 
  
• Use of a protective furniture cover is recommended to help extend the life of the fabric and maintain its original appearance. 
  

What to avoid 

• Do not cover the Solvana™ chair while it is still wet. 
  
• Do not use pressure washers. 
  
• Do not use abrasive brushes or pads. 
  
• Do not use harsh solvents, ammonia-based cleaners, or undiluted bleach. 
  
• Do not dry removable covers in a machine dryer or with high heat. 
  
• Do not use plastic tarps or non-breathable covers that trap moisture. 

Big Joe 2-Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty*
Big Joe warrants this item against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the date of delivery when used under normal residential conditions and cared for properly. Covered issues include qualifying defects in items such as seams, stitching, zippers, foam integrity, and other material or workmanship issues.

If this product is specifically labeled fade resistant and UV treated, the Big Joe warranty also includes limited coverage for excessive sun fading during the 2-year warranty period.

The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover accidental stains or spills, cuts, punctures, pet damage, burns, misuse, improper storage or maintenance, mold or mildew, commercial use, normal wear, or ordinary weathering.

Optional Mulberry Protection Plan*
For extra peace of mind, you can add a Mulberry Protection Plan at checkout. Mulberry helps protect your Big Joe furniture from accidental damage starting on day one. Depending on the plan purchased, Mulberry can also continue covered defect or malfunction protection after the Big Joe manufacturer’s warranty ends.

Covered incidents may include accidental stains and spills, accidental rips and tears, liquid marks and rings, and certain burn or heat marks, subject to the final plan terms. Approved claims have no deductible.

Mulberry does not cover pre-existing damage, theft or loss, damage during delivery, misuse, unauthorized repairs, natural disasters, or normal wear and weather-related deterioration such as prolonged environmental fading, moisture-related deterioration, mold, mildew, or rust, subject to the final plan terms.

 How to file a claim
If you believe your item has a manufacturing defect, contact Big Joe Support with your proof of purchase and photos of the issue.

If you purchased a Mulberry Protection Plan and need to report accidental damage, file your claim directly through your Mulberry dashboard. Mulberry will review the claim and determine whether repair, replacement, reimbursement, or another resolution applies under the plan.
