As part of our efforts to communicate and execute our strategy, the idea came about to have a group of Key Influencers. We thought if we could get the folks within our organization that already had influence, the ability to have more authority to make a difference in communicating and executing our strategy, we would all have fun with it as well as having a positive business impact.
We had our roll out to this team last week and one of their first responsibilities was to come up with a name for their group. They decided upon The Defenders. The Defenders have already huddled up and started to make an impact more quickly and robustly than I ever could have imagined.
I am super excited for our Defenders to continue to as well as to grow their influence on our company. They are already awesome…can’t wait to see what else they do!
I would encourage anyone interested in strategy and culture to find their own group of Defenders to impact their organizations. Defenders exist in every organization, they just need the platform to further exert their positive influence. If you don’t find them and recognize them you will be missing out. I know we were.
